Hello everyone!
A special time for many is approaching, Christmas. Generally, these dates are for family and friends gatherings, where the main activity is to eat and toast together for all the moments lived one more year and to give thanks. In addition, we know that the weather has changed, and the rain and temperature do not invite us to leave home, so activity decreases.
Combining both factors, the reason why our scales tell us that we have gained a couple of pounds, or why our clothes don't fit us as before, despite the short time difference, is clear.
For this very reason, we should be calm. It's not as serious as it seems. Enjoying a good dinner in good company is not at odds with looking for an option that allows us to increase our physical activity and thus achieve balance.
Therefore, and with good organization, we are here to accompany you and offer you some tips that may be useful to you.
Be aware.
Be aware of what you eat, which is not the same as not eating. Simply when we are at the table with different options to try and also entertained with good conversations, we tend to eat more than we need. Enjoy mindful eating. Try everything; but control the quantities. In addition, you can choose less processed options that will surely make you feel more satiated.
Drink water.
Stay hydrated. Sometimes, we confuse the feeling of hunger, when our body is actually just asking for water. In addition, hydrating yourself will make you feel more satiated and your body will feel better.
Exercise.
If you normally train five days a week, this month allow yourself to do it three. If you normally take 10,000 steps a day, this month reduce to 8,000 steps. Take advantage of after-dinner conversations to put on music and dance. Offer different plans to your friends like bowling, charades... something that keeps you moving.
Don't compensate.
Just because you overate yesterday doesn't mean you can't eat today. Quite the opposite. Your body and mind need to feel that you have returned to your usual routine, without more changes and stress that, furthermore, will not help you decrease your fat percentage.
Enjoy these holidays very much, love yourself and above all, live mindfully, you will notice the difference.
Happy Holidays!
BELLAONFIT Team.
